Health Literacy

Definition: This event will describe the issue of Health Literacy and why it is important to each and every one of us. Health Literacy is being able to understand the terms and conditions physicians may address to ourselves, family members, and other patients while being treated. It is important for the patient and other family members to understand what condition a physician is treating, especially when a patient is not familiar with medical terms and treatments. Health literacy is important for all people and this event will address the problems that arise from being health illiterate.
Higher purpose. Greater good.
