Darfur and South Sudan are two of the deadliest conflicts in the last few decades. Darfur represents an example of all the things that can go wrong with an international response, and how those mistakes can actually be deadly. South Sudan, on the other hand, provides a successful case study of ending a war and helping to support the creation of the world's newest country. John Prendergast will discuss what went right in South Sudan and what went wrong in Darfur, and the lessons to be learned for future conflicts.
