Their Voice Matters is a program where students from SLU go to a group who are underrepresented and forgotten, and alongside them, write a show. The point is not only to have a finished product, but the time spent with them, proving to them that people care about what they have to say. This year, we are going to a group of underprivileged children in Centralia, IL, and the final show goes up April 11 at G62 Xavier Hall.

This presentation focuses on the methods used to communicate and connect with the children, illustrated with audio and video recordings of the sessions that we used to build the script. The program was produced, directed, and designed by student Austin Beals.

Higher purpose. Greater good.
