The Bander Center has partnered with the American Medical Association's online, open-access ethics journal, Virtual Mentor (VM) to create "The Bander Essay Contest in Medical Business Ethics." The contest offers $5,000 as a prize for the best essay. Up to three runner-up prizes of $1,000 are also offered to other exceptional entries. All medical students, resident physicians, fellows, and physicians in practice are eligible to submit essays for consideration. For more information, visit the Virtual Mentor Site.

The first Bander Contest winning essay was written by Amanda J. Redig, PhD, and entitled "Reforming the Carrot-and-Stick of Health Care Systems." To view her winning entry, click here.
