Marcia Angell to Deliver Fall 2010 Bander Endowed Lecture

Bander Essay Winner Awarded $5000 Prize
Amanda Redig, PhD, a medical student at Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, was chosen as the first winner of the Bander Essay Contest in Medical Business Ethics. The contest was established in collaboration with the American Medical Association's online journal Virtual Mentor. Her winning essay was entitled "Reforming the Carrot-and-Stick of Health Care Payment Systems." Read More


Applications for 2010-2011 Bander Fellowship Now Being Accepted
The Bander Center is now accepting fellowship applications for the 2010-2011 year. Applications are welcome from faculty members in clinical departments at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. As part of the application process, applicants are required to submit a topic in medical business ethics that they plan to investigate during the course of the fellowship. Bander Fellows dedicate 10% effor over 12 months to the Bander Center for education and research activities within the field of medical business ethics. Applications are due June 25th.
