2011 Bander Endowed Lecture: Bernard Lo, MD

Bernard LoBernard Lo, MD, Professor of Medicine and the Director of the Medical Ethics Program at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) will be the 2011 Bander Endowed Lecturer. Lo chaired the 2009 Institute of Medicine (IOM) committee that produced the report, "Conflict of Interest in Medical Research, Education, and Practice." Lo is also the author of "Resolving Ethical Dilemmas: A Guide for Clinicians" (4th ed., 2010) and of "Ethical Issues in Clinical Research" (2010). His talk will be on "Partnerships Between Academic Health Centers and Industry: Opportunities, Challenges, and Pitfalls."

The lecture will be part of the Department of Internal Medicine Grand Rounds on Nov. 4th at 7:30am in the LRC Pitlyk Auditorium. Bander Endowed Lectures are approved for 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 creditTM. All are welcome to attend.
