Programs Offered in Biomedical Laboratory Science

  • Medical Laboratory Science

    Medical Laboratory Science prepares graduates to practice in a hospital or clinic lab as a health care professional in conjunction with other health care professionals including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, pharmacists, etc.

  • Cytotechnology

    Cytotechnology is a medical laboratory specialty in which the cytotechnologist prepares and examines cellular samples from various body sites under a microscope to identify benign and malignant cell changes.

  • Investigative and Medical Sciences

    Investigative and Medical Sciences offers a strong base in both basic sciences and medically related coursework. This degree is designed mainly as a preparatory degree for post-baccalaureate studies, especially medical school.

  • Post-Baccalaureate Certificates

    The post-baccalaureate certificates are for students who already possess a baccalaureate degree in another course of study. The department offers four tracks that range from 12-18 months to complete.
