It Just Keeps Getting Better!!

I wish there was one thing I could say to sum up my experience in London so far. Instead of telling you all the stories, I’ll just give you words: curler, rain, Lithuanians, coffee, pictures, lamp, freezer burn, ladder, windows, converter, Tube, walking, street lamps, Draino, bargain shopping, laundromats, tourists, pubs, Primark, King James’ toilet, Chinese desserts, low ceiling, OH RE-LY?, sticky, markets, juice, Tev, Edinburgh, pastries, shining, Dublin, looking homeless, stomping, postcards, brasenose, Oxford, Blenheim, gardens, bleeding hearts, Dover, Canterbury, Primer Meridian, pavement, toilet paper and BROKE.

Here’s a picture of my Chinese Dessert (YUM):

My time in London has been AMAZING. All these words add up to what makes my study abroad experience the time of my life. I’ve had SO many great stories, made SO many great friends, and have SO much more planned to do.

I went to the Chelsea Physic Garden on Sunday, and I saw all kinds of plants that are used for medicinal purposes. My favorite part was the Ophthalmology bed. I got my picture taken with it :) I have to transfer some of my pictures to my roommate’s computer so that she can change the file size, but then I’ll make sure to put them online!

Today I went to Oxford (where I bought a sweatshirt, t-shirt and two postcards for less than 30 American Dollars-my first deal since I got here) and Blenheim Palace. I learned a lot about the English school system and saw tons of beautiful buildings. I also went into The Eagle and Child, and saw where J.R. Tolkein and C.S. Lewis used to have debates. Blenheim Palace is where the 11th Duke of York lives right now, and his house is anything but ordinary. It has the most beautiful library overlooking a pristine garden. If someone forced me to live there, I guess I could cope.

Tomorrow night, I’m heading off to Edinburgh, Scotland! I even get to take a MegaBus night bus, which makes me feel back at home! I don’t know exactly what I’m going to do when I’m there, but there are 13-15 people coming from our group so I know I will have a great time! I can’t wait to let you all know how it went!

If you have any interests in my words, please let me know! I would love for you all to hear the stories behind them.
