I didn’t want to leave…

Last weekend I went to Edinburgh, Scotland. It was love at first sight, and if I didn’t have so many plans for the next few months, I would easily go back.

I took an overnight bus, which was really interesting. If you ask my friends and family, they would tell you that once I fall asleep I don’t move. Needless to say, I woke up VERY uncomfortable a few times on the bus. But when I got to Scotland, it was all worth it. We started off the morning looking for our AMAZING and CHEAP hostel. Afterwards, we went to Edinburgh Castle and easily spent half a day there. The next day, we did a lot of souvenir shopping and walked to the coast. The city was so full of history and the mountains were absolutely breath-taking. It’s been one of my dreams to see a volcano, and there was a volcano in Edinburgh. I didn’t know you could get close to it until my friends told me after they climbed a mountain nearby. I was sad I was at the coast instead.

Now, I’m getting ready for my midterms and trying to plan my trip for fall break! If anyone has any ideas for what I should in Venice, Zurich, Vienna, Berlin, Prague or Brussels, please let me know! Oh, and it’s okay to be jealous :)
