David Montour is part of the Project Management Program and teaches Principles and Practices, Planning and Scheduling, and the Project Management Capstone for the School for Professional Studies. His 29-year career has focused on project, contract, and operations management. He joined the military in the late 1970′s and enjoyed a varied and rewarding career. After a military career, he joined The Boeing Company in 1999 and served in several technical, program management, and leadership roles.
He earned a Masters degree in Information Systems Management from Washington University in St. Louis and Master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Washington University in St Louis and a Contract Management Certificate from Saint Louis University. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle University in Daytona Beach, FL.
He is a certified Project Management Specialist (PMP)® through the Project Management Institute (PMI)®, and is a current member of the St. Louis Chapter of PMI®. He also participates in the Program Managers Roundtable and Skandalaris Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Washington University in St. Louis.
