John Buerck
John P. Buerck, Ph.D., is the Chair of the Computer Science Technology Program at the School for Professional Studies at Saint Louis University. John also holds a secondary appointment in the Health Informatics and Information Management department in the Doisy College of Heath Science.
John has more than 20 years of both academic and corporate experience in teaching, research, and curriculum development in the areas of informatics, application development and in the social, professional, and ethical issues of computer technology.
John will be blogging on several topics depending on the current world atmosphere. Primarily, he will be blogging on the data-intensive world in which we live in. From the computer technology side he will address the way data is collected, organized, analyzed, represented, filtered and managed. On the other “side,” he will address the social and professional applications of how all this data effects us in our daily lives.
