Alyssa Owens is a student in the Criminal Justice and Security Management Program at SPS. She has been married since 2004, and she and her husband have two children: a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. She also works at Saint Louis University full time. She expects to graduate with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Security Management with a concentration in Criminal Justice in May, 2011.

She enjoys being a student in SPS because it gives her a sense of accomplishment and really raises her self-esteem. It affords her the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree and has given her inspiration to possibly go further in her education. With this blog, she hopes to share her experience working full time while attending school full time while also raising a young family.
