Jennifer Werner is an SPS student majoring in Organizational Studies. She has worked for the BJC healthcare system for 16 years – the first five years at BJC Home Care Services and the last 11 at Christian Hospital as an Administrative Assistant in the Risk Management/Environmental Health and Safety office.

She put off going back to school for at least 20 years. Then, BJC made available an opportunity that she could not refuse – it established the Bridges to Bachelor program through the School for Professional Studies, offering not only to pay for each class in full directly to the school but also to pay for any registration or other fees. That took care of every excuse she ever used, and she signed on immediately…before she could think of a new reason not to. It has been a great experience for her so far. She not only has learned a lot in each class, but she has also learned a lot about herself in the process.
