SLU's Billiken Wireless network is available to all faculty, staff and students on campus and can be accessed by "authenticated" users. The wireless connection acts like an umbrella over most areas of the campus and provides instant access to anyone under it. Wireless is available in most areas of campus, including many outside areas.
The only necessary equipment needed to connect to the Billiken Wireless network is a laptop or desktop computer that supports wireless functions, a SLU Net ID and your SLU Net ID Password.
Follow the configuration instructions for your operating system. When you reach the Enter Credentials screen, sign in using your SLU Net ID and the first six characters of your Banner Self-Service PIN.
Compatible Wireless Cards:
Most laptop computers, especially newer ones, come with an internal wireless network card installed. If your laptop does not have wireless capabilities pre-installed, you can purchase an external wireless card from most major electronic retailers. ITS recommends that you purchase a "high quality" 802.11 A/B/G tri-mode wireless card so you will connect to the best wireless signal in your area.
