Graduate Business Foundations Certificate

The Graduate Business Foundation Certificate at the Saint Louis University Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business focuses on candidates who are right out of undergraduate school with a non-business degree, as well as individuals who do not seek or want to commit to a full MBA program.

The certificate requirements consist of 12 credit hours of graduate foundation courses and six credit hours of breadth courses (chosen by the student in association with their advisor) for a total of 18 credit hours.

Upon completion of the certificate program, students will be awarded a certificate from Saint Louis University’s Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business.

Application requirements
  • Completed application
  • Current resume
  • Two references
  • Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities
  • Personal statement (This statement should include your personal and professional goals, your reasons for pursuing the graduate degree and any additional insights into your character or academic/employment history that will be helpful to the admissions committee. Limit to 500 words or less.)
  • Official GMAT score sent from ETS or Pearson VUE

Additional requirements
  • You may be asked to complete MBA Math before program or by end of the first semester.
  • You must maintain a "B" average with no grades below a "C" to earn a certificate.
  • You must be working at the time of admission, have prior work experience or gain an internship while completing the program.
  • Application can be made to MBA program after three foundation courses have been completed.
  • You must finish certificate within three-year time frame.

Post-MBA Certificate

The post-MBA certificate at the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business focuses on specific areas that Master of Business Administration graduates from AACSB-accredited institutions can further pursue: entrepreneurship, finance or supply chain management.

The Post-MBA certificate requirements consist of 12 credit hours of advanced graduate courses in a specific discipline. Upon completion, students will be awarded a certificate from Saint Louis University and the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business.

In order for a student to be accepted into the Post-MBA program they must submit the following:

  • Application
  • Current resume
  • Two references
  • Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities
