Prayer and Worship

Prayer and worship are essential to any faith community. For Catholics, the celebration of the Eucharist is the source and summit of the community’s life and mission. In addition to providing opportunities for Catholic Mass and other communal prayer, Campus Ministry connects students of different faith traditions to vibrant congregations across the St. Louis area.

Campus Ministry and St. Francis Xavier College Church offer a wide variety of liturgies throughout the week.

Volunteer student singers and musicians enliven Sunday Masses and other campus worship services with a mix of mainstream, traditional and contemporary liturgical music. Rehearsals are from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays in the College Church. For more information, contact Sean (

Student lectors, servers, Eucharistic ministers, and ushers help make the 4:30 and 9 p.m. Sunday Mass a vibrant celebration.

Training for liturgical ministers for the 2016-7 school year will be Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the Eckelkamp Center for Campus Ministry. Register here. Contact Erin Schmidt at for more information.

Higher purpose. Greater good.
