Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice

Where: Washington D.C.

When: November 12-14, 2016

What: The Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice (IFTJ) - an annual gathering in Washington,

D.C., to commemorate the UCA martyrs and an opportunity for members of the Ignatian family

(Jesuit institutions and larger church) to come together in the context of social justice and

solidarity. During the two day conference members of SLU's delegation will learn, reflect,

network, and explore the integral connection between faith and justice. The Teach-In is a place

where participants are empowered, re-energized, inspired, challenged, and supported in their

work for social change. The weekend culminates in a day of advocacy on Capitol Hill with your

senators and representatives!

Why: In words of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., "Our lives begin to end the day we become

silent about things that matter."

Interested students are invited to complete the application by Monday, September 14
