Unexpected Christmas

Unexpected Christmas

BarChurch will be hosting its first ever Christmas Celebration at 7:30pm on Sunday, December 6th. BarChurch usually meets Sunday nights at Humphrey's Tavern, but for this service we will be moving on campus to Xavier Hall theater!

Xavier Hall can hold upwards of 250 students, and we would love to pack Xavier to its capacity. To add something special to our service, A BarChurch donor plans to donate $10 for each new person in attendance. The donation will go towards the constructions of safe water wells in Mozambique. The money raised on December 6th, will be combined with other offerings from The Gathering UMC congregation, during our Christmas Eve services. To date, The Gathering has built 48 safe water wells, and hopes to provide resources through this offering to further our impact in Mozambique.

Contact Danny Lybarger for more information.

Eucharistic Adoration

Sorores in Christo sponsor Eucharistic adoration every Monday from 4-5 p.m. in College Church. Contact for more information.

Celebrating the Achievements of the Second Vatican Council

Celebrating the Achievements of the Second Vatican Council

Fifty years ago, on December 8, 1965, the Second Vatican Council closed with a solemn celebration on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. This year we reflect on the council's lasting significance. We are privileged to have Joseph Komonchak with us to conduct a symposium on Gaudium et spes, deliver the convocation lecture on the achievements of the council, and preach at a solemn vespers at the conclusion of the day.
