Breast Cancer Screenings at Saint Louis University Cancer Center

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death among women in Missouri. Screening for and early detection of breast and cervical cancer reduces death rates and greatly improves patient survival. For those women who are unable to afford a mammogram or who are underinsured, Saint Louis University offers a program to help cover the cost. The Show Me Healthy Women program covers NO COST clinical breast exams, mammograms, pelvic exams and pap smears. You must meet age and income guidelines.

Eligibility for assistance:

  • Women between 40 and 64 years of age and women over 64 without Medicare Part B
  • Currently experiencing symptoms
  • No health insurance or unable to afford the deductible
  • Meet income guidelines
