Home-Based Business / In-Home Childcare / Nanny Policy
It is the practice of Career Services to only post positions which offer a commercial/business workplace location. Home-based business, in-home childcare, or nanny positions will not be posted. This is to ensure that Handshake provides opportunities which offer a safe and worthwhile work experience.
This policy applies to ALL opportunities -- including full-time, internship and part-time positions.
While we will not post such positions, you may contact the Saint Louis University UNews to purchase a classified ad in the weekly publication (printed during the academic year only).

Third-Party Staffing Firm Policy
It is the policy of Career Services to partner with direct employers only. Therefore, we no longer accept Third-Party staffing firms into Handshake.
Procedural Violation Policy
The Career Services office reserves the right to ban any organization from campus for violating any guidelines related to office policies and procedures.
The first violation will result in a 6 month suspension from ALL campus activities and involvement, including previously scheduled events; and will require a sit down meeting with the Assistant Director, Employer Relations and the Director of Career Services.
The second violation will result in a 1 year suspension from ALL campus activities and involvement, including previously scheduled events; and will require a sit down meeting with the Assistant Director, Employer Relations and the Director of Career Services.
The third violation will result in a permanent suspension from ALL campus activities and involvement.
Employer usage of Handshake is limited to employment/recruiting related purposes only. Registered employers must comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws and established Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity regulations and guidelines.
Career Services reserves the right for any or no reason to deny access to any employer, and also reserves the right to refuse and/or edit job postings as deemed warranted by the University in the University's sole and absolute discretion.
