SLU Community Engagement Inventory

Relay For Life

Description: Relay For Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. At Relay For Life, the Saint Louis University community comes together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds raised, throughout the year and during the night of the event, makes a difference in the fight against cancer. On the night of the event, Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around Hermann Stadium on Saint Louis University's campus. The event is 24 hours long because cancer never sleeps, and fundraising efforts goes towards much-needed research and programs.
