This program is sponsored by Saint Louis University's Center for Health Care Ethics. The program has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (via Saint Louis University's School of Medicine), and with the Missouri Nurses Association, which is an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (via Saint Louis University's School of Nursing).
Accreditation
The National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), 3501 S. Lake Drive, PO Box 070473, Milwaukee, WI, grants the Center for Health Care Ethics at Saint Louis University the authority to provide NACC Continuing Education Hours for this program.
Number of NACC Continuing Education Hours
Saint Louis University's Center for Health Care Ethics designates this three-part activity for:
- Part 1, Fall semester, minimum 3 credit hours: 57.6 CE hours. [48 hours = 2880 minutes]
- Part 2, Spring semester, minimum 3 credit hours: 57. 6 CE hours. [48 hours = 2880 minutes]
- Part 3, Summer semester, minimum 1 credit hour: 19.2 CE hours. [16 hours = 960 minutes]
Note: Total minutes are divided by 50 minutes to equal Continuing Education Hours.
Validation of Content Statement
Saint Louis University's Center for Health Care Ethics requires accredited sponsors to insure that: all recommendations involving clinical medicine are based on evidence that is accepted within the profession of medicine as adequate justification for their indications and contraindications in the care of patients; all scientific research referred to, reported or used in support or justification of a patient care recommendation conforms to the generally accepted standards of experimental design, data collection and analysis.

Faculty and planning committee participating in the planning and presentation of these activities are required to disclose to the audience prior to the activity the following: the existence of any significant financial or other relationship with the manufacturer of any commercial product or provider of any commercial service discussed; their intention to discuss a product that is not labeled for the use under discussion; their intention to discuss preliminary research data.

The program has no expiration date and will be offered annually.
