Michele Langowski is an Assistant Professor of Health Care Ethics and Assistant Department Chair. She completed her Juris Doctorate and Certificate in Health Law at Saint Louis University School of Law, and a MA in Theology with a concentration in bioethics at Loyola University Chicago. She teaches "Health Care Ethics" in the Interprofessional Education Program of the Doisy College of Health Sciences, and "Ethics in Nursing and Health Care" in the School of Nursing graduate program. She also teaches a doctoral seminar in "Clinical Ethics" in the PhD program in Health Care Ethics. She is a member of the Saint Louis University Institutional Review Board. For several years, Michele served as a clinical and organizational health care ethics consultant, and before that as associate ethicist at Unity Health, St. Louis, a subsidiary of the Sisters of Mercy Health System. She continues to do some health care ethics consulting. Her research interests include clinical ethics, research ethics, and health care quality issues.
