Health Care Ethics USA
Health Care Ethics USA (HCEUSA) is a quarterly ethics newsletter founded by Fr. Kevin O'Rourke, OP and published through the Center for Health Care Ethics at Saint Louis University from 1993 to 2006. It was established to engage the ethical issues faced in particular by Catholic health care institutions and providers.
HCEUSA is now jointly published by the Catholic Health Association (CHA) and the Health Care Ethics department at Saint Louis University. Dr. Ronald Hamel, Senior Director of Ethics at CHA, is serving as the editor. Scott A. McConnaha at CHA serves as managing editor, while Sr. Pat Talone, VP of Mission at CHA, and Dr. James DuBois, Director of the Center for Health Care Ethics, serve as Associate Editors. Beginning in January 2007, HCEUSA became a free benefit to members of CHA. Non-members of CHA can still subscribe to HCEUSA at the same low rates by contacting the managing editor by mail at smcconnaha@chausa.org.
