Reinert Center for Teaching Excellence is devoted
to promoting quality teaching at Saint Louis University.
The Center strives to accomplish this through a broad array
of activities and resources.
The
Reinert CTE has three major service components:
The
Reinert CTE collaborates with other Saint Louis University
departments, including The
Center for Community Outreach, Information
Technology Services, and SLU
Libraries. We also have an active faculty advisory
board.
We
invite full-time and part-time faculty members and graduate
assistants to take advantage of our many programs and services,
and look forward to welcoming you to our events. Please
contact us with any
questions or suggestions for additional services that will
further promote quality teaching at SLU.
Reinert
CTE Mission Statement
The mission of the Paul C. Reinert, S. J. Center
for Teaching Excellence is to support Saint Louis University
faculty and graduate students so that they can better serve
the intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of all learners.
To fulfill this mission the Center:
- Helps
faculty and graduate students find their own directions,
meaning and pedagogical style in the context of Jesuit
traditions of education.
- Develops
a community of scholars who encourage and challenge each
other through mutual inspiration, mentoring and renewal.

Supports faculty and graduate students in the development
of skills and knowledge of pedagogical approaches using
technology, service learning, and other teaching innovations.
