Paul C. Reinert, SJ,
Center for Teaching Excellence

Certificate Programs
The Reinert Center for Teaching Excellence enhances the quality of undergraduate and graduate education by offering two certificates for graduate students: the Participation Certificate in University Teaching Skills and the more comprehensive Certificate in University Teaching Skills. The Participation Certificate can be earned by attending ten Effective Teaching Seminars, which are offered on a regular basis by the CTE. The Certificate in University Teaching Skills, with more complex requirements, has the added benefit of being placed on the graduate student's transcript at the completion of the program. As a reflective process, participants should allow a minimum of two semesters to complete either certificate.
