Arc Length of Curves
This applet is designed to explore finding the length of the graph of a
function, one of the standard applications of integration
- Using the control window the user sets the viewing window with
the xWindow and yWindow variables. The xRange variable sets the
limits of integration.
- The function ,
is the integrand we use
to find arc length.
- Read out boxes give the value of f at x0, along woith the value
of the legth unit at that point. A readout box gives the value of
the arclength over the defined region.
