Annual Internal Scholarships
Doisy College of Health Sciences Alumni Association Scholarship:
Sophomore level or higher are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship and post-baccalaureate or graduate student for $2,000. Must be enrolled full-time in the Doisy College with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 (4.0 scale). Agree and fulfill a year as student liaison on the Doisy Alumni Board. Application information is posted throughout the college during spring semester.
Annual External Scholarships
American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) (CLS Students Only)
Alpha Mu Tau is a national fraternity whose purpose is the advancement of professionals in the medical laboratory sciences. One of the prime activities of the fraternity is the granting of graduate and undergraduate scholarships for clinical laboratory science students. http://www.ascls.org
The ASCLS Education & Research Fund (E & R) is the charitable foundation of ASCLS and was founded to encourage and assist educational and scientific research in the field of medical laboratory science. The scholarship arm of the Fund supports education for students, practitioners and educators. Missouri Organization for Clinical Laboratory Science (MoCLS) (CLS Students Only)
To provide financial assistance to Missouri CLS or MLT students for formal education, research, or continuing education which directly relates to laboratory science. www.mocls.org/
Offered to students enrolled in their final clinical year of study in a laboratory science programs. Applicants must be enrolled in a NAACLS or CAAHEP accredited laboratory science program, be either a United States citizen or permanent resident, and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale. http://www.ascls.org
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Scholarships (CLS and CT Students Only)
The St. Louis chapter of CLMA offers a $1000.00 scholarship for a laboratory science student (MT/CLS, MLT/CLT, CT, etc.) who best exemplifies leadership qualities. The undergraduate or degreed student must be enrolled in an accredited program of laboratory science.
Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA) St. Louis Chapter Jean S. Schroeder Memorial Student Scholarship (CLS and CT Students Only)
A selection is made at the January Board of Directors annual retreat. Scholarship funds used for formal education shall be distributed by the chapter directly to an individual's school/program. www.stlouisclma.org
Missouri Society of Pathologists William R. Bynum, M.D. Memorial Scholarship Fund (CLS and CT Students Only)
The Missouri Society of Pathologists (MSP) will grant two $1,000 scholarships per year to final year students in National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) accredited Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Cytotechnologist, or Histotechnologist programs. Preference will be given to those programs based in the state of Missouri or which train their students in the state of Missouri. Application information is sent in early fall. The Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Student Scholarship (CLS Students Only)
Scholarship awards of $2,500 are available from Siemens each year for 34 students in their fourth year or final clinical year of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT/CLS) program. Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics is working with the American Society for Clinical Pathology as its administering partner for this scholarship.
The Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Legacy Student Scholarship (CLS Students Only)
Legacy Scholarships of $5,000 each are available to five students who are the children, grandchildren, or siblings of clinical laboratory professionals who continue their family legacy by pursuing associate or bachelor's degrees in NAACLS accredited MLT/CLT or MT/CLS programs. Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics is working with the American Society for Clinical Pathology as its administering partner for this scholarship.

Belleville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary (CLS Students Only)
The Belleville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary offers a $1,500 Educational Assistance Program to encourage healthcare careers for students living in the Memorial Hospital service area who are enrolled in specific health related disciplines. Applicants must be accepted into, or currently enrolled in, the clinical or professional phase of an accredited clinical laboratory science program. Recipients must agree to apply to work for Memorial Hospital or Memorial Convalescent Center for six months of every year of assistance received.
