Brandy R. Maynard is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at Saint Louis University. Dr. Maynard holds a Ph.D. in social work from Loyola University Chicago and an MSW from the University of Michigan. She has over 16 years of post-master's clinical and administrative social work experience and is a licensed clinical and macro social worker in the state of Michigan. Her practice experience is primarily in the areas of child and adolescent mental health and juvenile justice, including significant experience with the implementation and fidelity monitoring of several evidence-based interventions.

Dr. Maynard's research interests include interventions with at-risk youth and families, particularly in the areas of dropout, truancy, delinquency, and adolescent behavioral and mental health; adoption, implementation, and fidelity of evidence-based interventions; use and quality of research in education and social work; and systematic review and meta-analytic methods.

Her research has appeared in prominent social work and interdisciplinary peer reviewed journals including Research on Social Work Practice, British Journal of Social Work, Journal of Youth and Adolescence, Youth Violence and Juvenile Justice, Journal of Adolescence, and Campbell Systematic Reviews. Dr. Maynard serves as the Co-Chair of the Social Welfare Coordinating Group and on the Steering Group of the Campbell Collaboration, is a member of the editorial board for Research on Social Work Practice and the Education Coordinating Group of the Campbell Collaboration and also serves as a peer reviewer for several journals.
