Dr. Curley is an associate professor of Social Work. She teaches social policy and sustainable development. Dr. Curley's primary academic interests are in the social economic development of low-income families and children through asset-based strategies domestically and internationally.

Her research includes studies on matched savings accounts for low-income families in the United States and matched savings accounts for HIV/AIDs orphans in Uganda.
