Dr. Green is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy in the College for Public Health and Social Justice with a secondary appointment in the Saint Louis University Center for Outcomes Research in the School of Medicine. His research emphasizes topics in management, policy, and economics related to child health and he has recently completed studies of managerial responses to emotional stress in pediatric hospitals, need and unmet need for care coordination among children with special health care needs, and the effects of health care organization ownership on adherence to clinical guidelines in pediatrics.
Dr. Green's teaching is interdisciplinary and case-based and he currently teaches undergraduate courses on management and a graduate course on economic evaluation. He serves on the advisory board of AcademyHealth's Child Health Services Research Interest Group and as a peer reviewer for Pediatrics, Journal of Health Administration Education, and related journals.
