Lauren D. Arnold, PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and the Director of three undergraduate majors in the College for Public Health & Social Justice. She earned her B.A. from Douglass College/Rutgers University and her MPH and PhD from UMDNJ-School of Public Health/Rutgers University. Her public health experience includes monitoring clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry, secondary data analysis for the American Cancer Society, and survey research in community and national settings.

As a cancer epidemiologist, Dr. Arnold's current work largely focuses on HPV-related cancers. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, she studies barriers to, knowledge about, and communication issues related to HPV vaccination and cancer prevention among underserved, minority, and college populations. Additionally, she has ongoing projects in cancer disparities and public health genomics, and collaborates on projects in Guatemala.

Dr. Arnold is also passionate about undergraduate public health education. She is involved with national endeavors to frame undergraduate public health, conducts public health education research, and works in public health training in Guatemala. Adding to her international experience, Dr. Arnold also spent a year playing the flute in orchestras in England.
