William L. Kincaid, MD, MPH is a graduate of Washington University and St. Louis University School of Medicine, Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and holds a master degree in public health from the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston.

He has worked to incorporate public health principles in several sectors of the health care arena. He has experience in the St. Louis area as a local health officer, hospital board member, managed care medical director, and mental health and children's services tax board member.

Dr. Kincaid currently serves on the board of directors for several not for profit organizations, including Community Health Charities of Kansas and Missouri, the St. Louis Diabetes Coalition, the St. Louis Regional Asthma Consortium, and the Maternal, Child, and Family Health Coalition.

Research Interests:

He has a longstanding interest in a broad range of public policy issues. His mission statement is "to make people better health care consumers, and to make children better people." Many of these efforts require cooperation among, government, business and the civic sector. He is particularly interested in public and private investment in community health, the development and the maintenance of public health infrastructure and systems. His other interests include the development of local community collaborators that address community needs of special at-risk populations, and health education projects for physicians and consumers.
