For over two years a group of dedicated faculty have come together to discuss and brainstorm ways in which the SLU community can have a very real impact on the health and well-being of the north St. Louis communities. An outcome of this work is the Making a Difference in North St. Louis Symposium as a way to highlight some of the work that faculty, staff and students are doing with North St. Louis partners.

The purposes of the symposium are to:

  • Highlight projects, service, or research conducted in North St. Louis through poster presentations
  • Encourage collaboration among faculty, students, staff, and community members on current or future projects, service, and research in North St. Louis
  • Introduce our current community partners to the university family and the work that is being done with North St. Louis in order to increase and strengthen partnerships with the community.

The symposium is free and open to all university faculty, staff and students and to existing and potential community partners. Refreshments will be served.

Higher purpose. Greater good.
