Multicultural Public Health Student Association (MPHSA)

saint louis university school of public health

MPHSA is open to every member of the College for Public Health and Social Justice (CPHSJ) community. MPHSA celebrates the uniqueness of each member of the school community and celebrates CPHSJ's rich diversity.
There are no meetings except for those members who choose to participate in the planning of the organization's annual event, Multicultural Eve (MCE), hosted each year on the Friday or Saturday before Thanksgiving. Students, faculty and staff gather to share a meal and an evening of entertainment.
The meal is a potluck dinner; each person contributes a dish reflective of their cultural tradition. Entertainment is provided by attendees who seize the opportunity to showcase their talents. Past performances have included truly memorable cooking, poetry recitation, cultural history, Zumba, dancing, singing and musical performances.

To volunteer to be a part of the MCE planning team, contact Nancy Culbert at nculber2@slu.edu.
