Note for SAS support:

SAS does not have a "native" Mac OS version. Mac users must run a Windows "virtual environment" to use SAS.

Due to the nature of the virtualization environments, SAS does not expect performance equivalence in these environments. Analysis must be done within the customer environment for the specific application(s) to determine the appropriate sizing and configuration of the infrastructure. The customer is responsible for properly configuring their virtual machine and applications for that virtualization environment.

Note: The following requirements must be met in order to run SAS on a Mac operating system with virtualization software. The additional cost to run SAS in the Mac environment will be around $200.00, plus the price for the SAS Software.

  • Mac laptop with an Intel® processor required
  • Any virtualization software program (Parallels for Mac) that is compatible with SAS the Mac operating system or Apple Boot Camp.
