Come to Discover. Aim to Serve. Prepare to Succeed. The College of Arts and Sciences, founded in 1818, is the oldest college at the University. The College is a home for study, self-inquiry, research, and career exploration. The Jesuit tradition shapes the mission, curriculum, and teaching. Both undergraduate and graduate programs create an intellectual, caring, close-knit community that emphasizes student and faculty commitment to research, service, and outreach.
