Saint Louis University's programs in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel Administration prepare individuals for careers in academic, administrative, institutional, public policy and student affairs departments of two- and four- year colleges and universities, multi-campus systems, foundations and government agencies. Ph.D. IN HIGHER EDUCATION ADMINISTRATION

The Ph.D. degree is intended for full- and part-time students interested in pursuing careers in higher education teaching and/or administration. The PhD requires a minimum of 30 credits beyond the master's degree, plus 12 credits of dissertation research, a comprehensive examination, a preliminary examination, a dissertation, and a public defense.

M.A. IN STUDENT PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION

The M.A. degree is a non-thesis program enrolling full-time and part-time students. This program prepares individuals for professional, entry level and middle management positions in student services at colleges and universities. The program requires the completion of a minimum of 32 credit hours and a comprehensive examination.

STUDENT PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION ONLINE SPECIALTY PROGRAM

This 18-credit hour online program is designed for professionals aspiring to student services positions within higher education and those who seek to learn more about the field of student development and student services in the college setting.
