Saint Louis University

Undergraduate students in the College of Education are assigned both an academic advisor and a faculty mentor. Every semester prior to the registration period, students meet with their academic advisor and faculty mentor to discuss their academic program and career goals, review curricular requirements and academic progress, determine course schedules, and, in general, develop a plan for academic and future success.

How should I contact my academic advisor if I have a question?

Please feel free to email or call your academic advisor with your questions. While some questions or concerns may best be addressed by scheduling an in-person meeting with your advisor, other questions may simply be handled with a brief email.

A few tips to remember when emailing your advisor:

  • Always use your SLU email account
  • Use a clear subject line, such as "summer class question"
  • Include your full name and SLU Banner ID number (e.g., 000123456)
