Graduate Research Network | Computers and Writing Online | Connections MOO | Computers and Writing 2001
Computers and Writing Online 2001 announces the first Graduate Research Network Online, coordinated by John Paul Walter. As the CW Online 2001 companion to the C&W 2001 Graduate Research Network, the Graduate Research Network Online is a forum for graduate students and recent graduates to discuss research projects and work in progress of interest to those working with Computers and Writing, with experienced researchers, editors, and peers. As part of Computers and Writing Online Conference, the Graduate Research Network Online will take place as a series of events on Connections MOO. The Graduate Research Network Online strongly encourages all graduate students, including those who will present at the Graduate Research Network at C&W2001 to participate in the online event. You are welcome to present the same topic at both events.
While we have a variety of events planned, the heart of the Graduate Research Network Online will be the small group discussions, which will group those with similar research interests with discussion leaders who will facilitate discussion and offer suggestions for developing research projects and for finding suitable venues for publication. We encourage anyone interested or involved in graduate education and scholarship--students, professors, mentors, and interested others--to participate in this important event.
We welcome those pursuing a wide variety of research models (qualitative studies, quantitative studies, textual/hypertextual/intertextual studies, traditional or electronic theses/dissertation projects, etc.) at any stage, from those just beginning to design a project to those whose projects are ready to pursue publication. Those intending to participate in the onsite event at Ball State this year are strongly encouraged to present your work as part of the Graduate Research Network Online as well. All work-in-progress presenters and discussion leaders will be listed in the CW Online 2001 Website.
To participate in the Graduate Research Network Online you will need to
