Nothing replaces direct contact with a foreign culture and people. This year-long, full-immersion program allows students to experience France and its culture first hand. Students take courses in the French university system with natives and other international students. You’ll come back to the United States transformed by the charm of France and its people !

Various academic opportunities in art, humanities, sciences and business are available to students at the four universities involved in the program. These courses not only fulfill requirements for French majors, but also other areas of study, including core requirements. This means that you can probably finish a French major and make good progress toward a second major during your time in Lyon.

During the stay, students can live in dormitories or stay with a host family, or share an apartment with a French roommate. Classes start in late September, after a 3-week orientation, and end in June. Several breaks allow for plenty of opportunities for travel.
