Whether you are minoring or majoring in French, we highly recommend that you immerse yourself in the language and the culture.
If you prefer to go during the summer, we encourage you to:

- Study
French in Québec, at the Université Laval which offers
two five-week-long sessions, starting in May and in July. For further
information about the program, please contact Dr. Jean-Louis Pautrot
at pautropj@slu.edu . For further
details about the Universite Laval, go to www.elv.ulaval.ca
- Study in Dijon at the Centre International d'Etudes Françaises
(Université Dijon, France). Summer sessions usually start
early July, for a variable length of stay. You may also choose to
attend an intensive oral workshop in June. For further information
about the program, please contact Dr. Pascale Perraudin. For further
details about the CIEF in Dijon, go to www.u-bourgogne.fr/CIEF
- Should you prefer to study in another location or with another program, we urge you to consult with Dr. Jean-Louis Pautrot (pautropj@slu.edu) prior to making your final decision. Our goal is to help you identify the right program for you!
