The Language Villa in Notre Dame Hall
Many Languages, One World

The Language Villa is created for students with a passion for exploring different cultures through language by providing the opportunity to live with other students with similar interests in a learning community. The Villa introduces students to cultural and linguistic diversity and teaches cultural understanding, a quality of increasing importance in our global society. The following languages are represented in the Language Villa: French, Spanish, Italian and German. Each language will have a Foreign Language Teaching Assistant living within the community to facilitate many of the programs and linguistic development. Students focus on language learning through, for example, common course work, conversation, cultural events or a foreign film series. Students in this learning community will experience numerous special events drawn from our diverse ethnic communities in the city of St. Louis and the surrounding areas.
