|
Colleen McCluskey (Ph.D., Iowa, 1997) recently co-organized a conference on the ethics of St. Thomas of Aquinas. Her areas of interest are medieval philosophy, ethics, and feminist philosophy. Her papers include:
- "Intellective Appetite and the Freedom of Human Action," in The Thomist.
- "Happiness and Freedom in Aquinas's Theory of Action" in Medieval Philosophy and Theology;
- "The Roots of Ethical Voluntarism" in Vivarium
- "Worthy Constraints in Albertus Magnus's Theory of Action" in Journal of the History of Philosophy.
A grant was recently awarded to her, along with Christina Van Dyke and Rebecca De Young, by the Calvin Center for Christian Scholarship. She also directs the Latin Reading Group with Susan Brower-Toland.
