Important Information

  1. 1. You must have completed 46 credit hours including Legal Profession prior to the fall semester unless you are applying for Judicial Process or the Community and Economic Development clinic. Judicial Process applicants must enroll concurrently in Legal Profession if it has not already been completed.
  2. 2. Every student who is accepted into one of the in-house clinics, mediation, externships, or judicial process clinic will also be enrolled in a companion class.
  3. 3. By submitting an application, you are agreeing to accept any of the clinics or placements you indicated as first, second or third choices. Applications that only indicate one choice of practice setting will not be considered for other clinics or placements if the student is not accepted into the only indicated practice setting.
  4. 4. Applications are due by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 28, 2014. Late applications will be considered on a space available basis.
  5. 5. Your resume must be uploaded to Simplicity. Contact Career Services if you have not done this previously.
  6. 6. You will be notified as to whether you have been accepted into a clinic no later than April 10, 2014.
  7. 7. Note that the Mediation Clinic has mandatory meetings or training dates outside the regular class time. If you indicate a preference for this clinic, you are agreeing that you will attend these sessions.
  8. 8. Once you receive notice that you have been accepted into a clinic, you may not drop without prior written request and approval from the faculty member who supervises that clinic. Approval for withdrawal will only be granted under extraordinary circumstances.
