Scott Hall Protocol July 29, 2013 Many members of the faculty and staff have already moved in and we can’t wait until everyone can join us at our new home at Scott Hall. Of course, with a new space comes new protocol. The law school administration has been working with the University's Department of Public Safety, the City of St. Louis and the Partnership for Downtown St. Louis to ensure the security of law school students, faculty and staff. Building Access First and foremost, you will need to have your University ID card visible at all times. Everyone will be required to show ID upon entrance and all visitors must sign in at the front desk. The building will be open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a security guard on location 24 hours a day. Students can access the building starting at 6 a.m. until the library closes (Monday – Friday), and on Saturday and Sunday during library hours by using your SLU ID. Downtown Partnership The Partnership for Downtown St. Louis has offered the services of the Downtown Guides that can escort students, faculty and staff should the need arise. They will be available from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. More information is available here. In addition, security cameras in the surrounding areas outside of the building will be monitored by both University DPS and the Partnership. |
