What past experience has had the most impact on your life? Why? Teaching high school; I really learned a lot about different learning styles and when you learn something with the goal of teaching it to someone else, you learn in an entirely different way.

Law School Snapshot
Why did you want to go to law school?
I love to solve problems and to figure out how things fit together. I am challenged by trying to find ways to make an argument based on reason.
How do you balance life and law school?
Very carefully. I commute 95 miles one way each day for class, and I have a husband and two children. Making that work requires a lot of discipline and a lot of understanding on the part of my very supportive family. I just remind myself every day that I have to make every minute of my day count and I try to remember what is most important in my life.
What are you most excited about regarding the move downtown?
I think it is such a great opportunity for students to see practitioners in action with the courthouse across the street and so many firms within walking distance of the school. Hopefully SLU LAW’s great network of alumni will continue to bring their knowledge to students, and the move may make it easier for more of them to do so.
