Law School Snapshot
Why did you want to go to law school?
After finishing my undergraduate education, I worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at a dialysis center in Compton, Calif. Working with the patients at the center made me realize how much work our healthcare system needed. That realization drove me to the study of law because of the skills and knowledge it would provide to enable me to change the world for those patients.
What’s your best experience at the School of Law?
My best experience at the School of Law was attending the Health Reform symposium on Oct. 26, 2012. Listening to the Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Starr rejuvenated my interest in the healthcare field.
What professional experiences/summer positions or clinical experience have you had?
During the summer following the first year of law school, I interned at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri. I am also a faculty fellow for Professor Robert A. Gatter.
What are you most excited about regarding the move downtown?
I am looking forward to learning at a legal institution that will be based in the center of the St. Louis legal community. The partnerships that will develop because of our school’s location will benefit the students in gaining practical experience and employment.
