The effectiveness/quality of this product will be evaluated prior to dissemination using: Quasi-experimental study.
Description how the product is innovative:
Project WOW uses a community-based participatory approach to implement and evaluate a multi-level physical activity program. Interventions include tailored newsletters (individual level), health care provider counseling and walking groups (interpersonal level), trail events, media releases and contests (community level). Inventions are implemented simultaneously and evaluated using telephone surveys, trail use counters and HbA1c data collection.
The product will be available for dissemination in: December 2006.
