Safe Zone Program Information
Training Information and Sign Up
To become a Safe Zone member, you must attend one of the upcoming 3 hour training sessions held on campus. Training sessions for students are held on Tuesdays and are for students, faculty, and staff. Groups are usually limited to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis.
Based on the resource manual, training is focused on group discussions and activities. Everyone has different experiences and knowledge to share, and we can all learn from one another. There will be time in each training session to ask questions and raise any issues you would like to discuss.

Already completed Safe Zone Training?
This year we are providing multiple opportunities to those who have already completed training and would like to continue to serve as an ally.
Safe Zone Brown Bag Lunch Workshop
This year, we will be hosting two training sessions and one Brown Bag advanced educational session per semester. The Brown Bags will serve as opportunities to dive deep into the intersection of LGBT and Faith Identity (Fall) and the Transgender Spectrum (Spring). These will consist of short presentations, however, the bulk of this brown bag workshop will be discussion-based and provide opportunities for participants to pose questions.
The Brown Bag Lunch is only for participants who have completed Safe Zone Ally Training.
